Le gouvernement congolais et l’Union européenne ont signé le 17 mai 2010 un Accord de Partenariat Volontaire (APV) sur l’Application des règlementations forestières, la gouvernance et les échanges commerciaux (FLEGT). Cet accord commercial, entré en vigueur le 1 mars 2013, a pour but d’améliorer la gouvernance forestière au Congo et de s’assurer que le bois et les produits bois du Congo remplissent les exigences réglementaires du pays.
